Ric Flair diagnosed with skin cancer for second time

Two-time WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair has been diagnosed with skin cancer for the second time in just three years.
The 76-year-old told People that he will begin treatment next week. He had denied cancer claims via his X account Thursday before he revealed the news to the outlet on Friday.

Flair is currently working for AEW and appeared on-screen in May as part of a tribute to his friend and Pro Football Hall of Famer Steve “Mongo” McMichael who passed away following a long battle with ALS. It was Flair’s first on-screen appearance in AEW since Sting’s retirement at March 2024’s AEW Revolution.
Flair made headlines recently for some comments on social media regarding Jim Ross’ recovery from colon cancer surgery, later saying they were intended as a joke.
His on-screen record of 16 World titles was broken at April’s WWE WrestleMania 41 by John Cena with his record 17th title win — something Flair was overjoyed about while also noting in interviews that his own total was actually higher due to unrecorded title changes.
