Abadon’s AEW contract expires, officially a free agent

Abadon’s contract has expired.
After five years with AEW, Abadon recently revealed that their deal would not be renewed. On Wednesday, they posted to BlueSky to announce that they are officially a free agent.
On May 31, Abadon posted:
“My time with AEW is coming to an end. My contract expires in June and I will not be renewed. The emotions I’m currently trying to manage are incredibly difficult and full of conflict as I reflect on my time there,” Abadon wrote. “My goal is to not let this be it for me, because I love wrestling too much to just stop. I’ve put in a lot of hard work that I will now be able to show case more often. While my heart is currently broken you can bet that I’m still going to show up for training next week.”
“If you are looking to book me please send an email to bookabadonhere@gmail.com Thank you”
Abadon in AEW
Abadon’s last match for AEW/ROH took place at the February 8 ROH tapings, where they defeated Rachael Ellering. Their last match on AEW programming was at Worlds End 2023, where they lost a TBS title match to Julia Hart. It was just their second AEW pay-per-view appearance and first since the Casino Battle Royal at All Out 2021.
The horror-themed wrestler had some of their most notable AEW/ROH matches near Halloween. Abadon vs. Britt Baker in a Trick or Treat match headlined the October 31, 2021 episode of Rampage. They challenged Hikaru Shida for the AEW Women’s World title on the October 28, 2023 episode of Collision. Last year, they were defeated by Athena in a Halloween Ring of Horror match for the ROH Women’s title.
It was recently announced that Abadon will be appearing for Rising Stars Women’s Wrestling on July 12 in Deer Park, New York.
