Tyra Mae Steele in-ring debut announced for WWE NXT

Olympic gold medalist Tamyra Mensah-Stock, known in WWE as Tyra Mae Steele, will make her NXT in-ring debut on Tuesday’s episode.
WWE announced that the LFG Season One winner will wrestle for the first time on NXT, though her opponent has yet to be revealed.

Steele won gold in the women’s 68 kg freestyle wrestling category at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics (held in 2021), becoming the first Black woman to win an Olympic gold medal in wrestling for the United States. She and fellow Olympic gold medalist Gable Steveson were introduced to the live crowd at SummerSlam 2021 to celebrate their achievements.
Steele signed with WWE in May 2023 and reported to the Performance Center later that month.
