Jey Uso would like to ‘run back’ WWE WrestleMania match against brother Jimmy

Jey Uso wouldn’t mind running it back with his brother at a future WrestleMania.

On a recent episode of Cheap Heat, he told Peter Rosenburg that his WrestleMania 40 match against Jimmy Uso earlier this year “left a bad taste” in his mouth.

Uso said:

“To be honest, I would like to run it back with my brother one more time. Like, I would like to because (it) left a little bad taste in my mouth with that one.”

“I just know what we can do. The fans have no damn clue. I know, me and my brother know, man. And hell yeah, we would have stole the show. It was just things happen. We’re all a team.”

Their match on night one of WrestleMania in Philadelphia this year went a little over 11 minutes and has been poorly reviewed. Our Dave Meltzer awarded it 3/4 of a star and wrote that it “was the lone true creative misfire in the two nights,” later adding, “The crowd wasn’t into this as a match, but they did chant ‘Yeet.’ They did some mirror image spots. But creative failed in this match and really it was the only one in two days where they did.”

In an interview with The Gorilla Position earlier this year, Jey also mentioned that he felt his WrestleMania match “let the people down.”

“I kind of feel like we did let the people down,” he said before adding, “because I wanted to go out there and have a straight-up banger too. I wanted to do the wrestling part, but let alone make sure the emotion part is there.”

“It was just a time issue, uce. You know what I’m saying? You just got to play your position on the team. That’s what happened. I’m still happy though, uce. I got a singles match on WrestleMania with my brother – that’s the big picture. So I’m going to always have me and him in the faceoff at WrestleMania.”

Jimmy Uso didn’t wrestle again for six months following WrestleMania this year due to an undisclosed injury. He returned at Bad Blood last month and is scheduled to team with Jey, Roman Reigns, Sami Zayn, and Seth Rollins at WWE Survivor Series in a War Games match against Solo Sikoa’s Bloodline.
