WWE to pre-tape July 4 episode of SmackDown

The July 4 episode of WWE SmackDown will not air live.
The PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, announced on Wednesday that in addition to hosting the live June 30 episode of WWE Raw, the July 4 SmackDown will be taped that same night.

SmackDown stars such as Cody Rhodes, Tiffany Stratton, and Randy Orton have been added to the event listing.
This will be WWE’s first time at PPG Paints Arena since a December 27, 2024 house show. The last televised WWE event from Pittsburgh was the April 19, 2024 episode of SmackDown.
Major WWE events held at PPG Paints Arena include the 2014 Royal Rumble, Extreme Rules 2018, and Payback 2023. The venue is home to the NHL’s Pittsburgh Penguins.
