R-Truth thanks fans after WWE return: ‘We made history together’

R-Truth

R-Truth says his WWE return came from fans being “seen, heard, felt, and understood.”

Now going by his real name Ron Killings, R-Truth has been responding to people on social media following his surprise appearance at Money in the Bank on Saturday.

On Sunday, @ItsLovelyLaveau posted on X about Truth’s return, writing:

“Wrestling as a collective, fans and wrestlers TOGETHER, used their voices to help get a Black man’s job back in less than a WEEK!! Thats why the ‘how’ is important to ME. 22 million views and broken hearts… Change was made. Period.”

Truth responded:

“#WeWantTruth was seen, heard, felt and understood… Believe me when I say this, I Love EVERYONE of yall to death. We made history together”

Truth also responded to Jackie Redmond, who posted that she doesn’t care how Truth’s return came to be.

“Boom! Thank you Jackie,” he wrote.

R-Truth Returns to WWE

Truth’s return was also discussed by Dave Meltzer and Garrett Gonzales on the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio. Meltzer said:

“I don’t know when the decision was made, it was a late decision, but obviously the idea that he was done was very real. I’ve since found out from somebody who would absolutely know that yeah, it wasn’t that close-guarded secret.”

Meltzer later added:

“There’s so many ramifications of this. But also, not just that the fans are going to now do this when anyone of any real name value is cut. Could you imagine if there was a Bray Wyatt type cut now?”

Gonzales and Meltzer also discussed how Truth’s return impacts Cody Rhodes getting the pin on Cena and what that means for their story going forward. The full edition of Wrestling Observer Radio is available here.
