Bayley returns on WWE Raw

Bayley has returned to WWE programming for the first time since WrestleMania 41.

The former four-time WWE Women’s Champion made her return after a six-week hiatus on Monday’s Raw, attacking new Women’s Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch in a segment also featuring Lyra Valkyria.

In storyline, Bayley and Valkyria were set to challenge for the Women’s Tag Team Championship at WrestleMania, but a mystery assailant took out Bayley on the WrestleMania Saturday pre-show, allowing Lynch to make her own return to the company after a hiatus to serve as Valkyria’s partner for the title match.

Lynch and Valkyria won the titles at WrestleMania, then lost them on the Raw after WrestleMania. Lynch snapped and turned heel on Valkyria, and admitted to attacking Bayley in the subsequent weeks.

As Lynch and Valkyria went back and forth on the mic on Raw, Bayley made her surprise return and attacked Lynch as Valkyria looked on with a stunned expression.
